DIANE K. SHERWOOD, LMSW, ACSW
Ms. Sherwood is a social worker who established Sherwood Associates, Inc. an eldercare planning and management service in 1989 and expanded and incorporated shortly thereafter.
Ms. Sherwood was the Founding Director of The Caregivers Exchange, one of the earliest corporate eldercare programs in the country. She was also Director of Human Services at St. Margarets House, a 250 unit congregate living facility in New York City where she developed innovative services for the elderly, a handbook on cross-cultural communication and a demonstration project on empowerment of the elderly.
In addition to holding an MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work, Ms. Sherwood pursued graduate studies in sociology at the College of William and Mary and has a BA from Alfred University. She is affiliated with the National Association of Private Geriatric Care Managers and The National Association of Social Workers. Ms. Sherwood frequently lectures on eldercare topics for Brookdale Center for Healthy Living and Longevity, corporations and community organizations. |

Dr. Sherwood is an Associate Professor at Hunter College School of Social Work since 1979. He has published in the areas of veterans Post Traumatic Stress, dialysis patient compliance and gerontology. He also has been the clinical consultant at the Hudson Valley Veterans Health Care System-Montrose Campus since 1986 where he treats Vietnam veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He has been a consultant for Sherwood Associates, Inc. since its inception. |
